$67.49final price · you save $22.50 (25.0% off)
Your inputs
Original Price:$89.99Discount:25%
Final priceStarting from $89.99, the 25% discount removes $22.50. Sales tax is added last, on the discounted amount — you save $22.50 in total (25.0% effective off).
How the discount is calculated
Final = Price × (1 − D₁%) × (1 − D₂%) × (1 + Tax%)

Amount saved = Original − discounted subtotal · Stacked discounts are applied one after another, not added together

Original price$89.99
Discount (25%)− $22.50
Subtotal after discounts$67.49
Final price$67.49
Total savings$22.50
Worked example

A $89.99 item at 25% off with an extra 10% coupon and 8% sales tax.

  1. After 25% off:$67.49
  2. After extra 10% off:$60.74
  3. Plus 8% tax (final):$65.60
💡 Stacked discounts are not additive
A “25% + 10% off” deal gives 32.5% total off (0.75 × 0.90 = 0.675), not 35%. Retailers apply coupons sequentially to the already-discounted price, which is exactly what the % Off mode above does.

Most stores apply stacked discounts sequentially (the second percentage applies to the already-reduced price), which this calculator follows. Always confirm how your retailer applies coupons and taxes.
