Add a Watermark to Photos — Free, Batch, No Upload
Watermark photos with text or a logo image: position, opacity, tiling, batch mode for whole folders. Runs in your browser — photos never uploaded.
If you share photography publicly, a watermark is the difference between "credited" and "unknown source." This tool applies text or logo watermarks with full control: position, size, opacity, and a tiling mode that covers the whole frame so crops can't remove it.
Batch mode watermarks an entire folder with one setting — the only realistic option for a real portfolio. Processing is local: client proofs and unreleased work never leave your machine.
100% in-browser · no upload · no signup · nothing you paste or drop here leaves your device

Processing uses browser-native Canvas and File APIs, so output can vary slightly between browsers. All processing runs locally in your browser.
Two directions, one canvas — illustrated
Adding a watermark overlays semi-transparent text (or a tiled pattern) onto the source pixels — one composite draw. Removing one is the inverse problem: after you paint a mask over the logo, an inpainting model re-synthesizes the covered pixels from the surrounding texture, so the region looks like it never held a mark.
Fast removal uses classical edge-aware fill for clean, uniform areas. AI removal (MI-GAN / LaMa) learns the surrounding texture and is far better at fences, brick walls and gradients — the model runs locally in your browser.
Two common scenarios and the tool path each needs.
- Protect your shots:Add a © 2026 text mark at low opacity, corner position — one click
- Clean up a stock photo:Remove mode: paint over the corner logo, pick Fast for plain skies or AI for brick walls
- Batch vs single:Add is instant and repeatable; Remove runs a local model per image
- Both stay local:Nothing is uploaded — the AI model downloads once, then runs entirely on-device

Frequently asked questions
Where should a watermark go on a photo?
Where a crop can't remove it: center-tiled is strongest (any crop keeps watermarks), a bottom-corner mark is the most aesthetic but croppable. Common compromise: small centered-tile at 10–15% opacity — visible on close inspection, unobtrusive at a glance, and immune to cropping.
Text or logo watermark — which is better?
Text with your handle is unmissable and works without a brand; a logo PNG with transparency looks more professional and scales cleanly. Use the same tool for both — upload the logo once, save the settings, and batch-apply across the folder so every photo carries a consistent mark.
