The parser never sends your text anywhere: it splits the paste into segments, runs them past four rule sets in a fixed order, enriches whatever survives with dates and dollar amounts, then drops each item into one of four buckets. Counts shown are the built-in Lincoln Elementary sample.

- Split:The paste is cut on sentence endings and newlines into 19 segments; 3 stubs ("Dear Parents," and two short asides) are dropped because they carry no date and match no rule, leaving 16 items.
- Classify:6 land in Events (field trip Oct 18, picture day Oct 20, book fair Oct 22, conferences Oct 19 and Oct 25, spirit week Oct 22), 5 in To-Dos (permission slips Oct 15, no school Oct 21, plus three undated reminders), 4 in Payments (fundraiser Oct 17, order forms Nov 1, and two undated money lines), and 1 in General (the "Week of October 14" header).
- Enrich:"Order forms went home — packages start at $25." has no date, but extractAmount() still pulls out $25, so the payment card shows the price with a blank date. Date parsing reads "October 18", "11/1", weekday names and "tomorrow".
- Filter:Tapping the 💰 tile narrows the board to the 4 payments; the per-child row appears as soon as a second child name has been parsed, so siblings can be viewed separately.
- Export:Export .ics writes one VEVENT per dated item — 11 of the 16 — at 08:00 local time, ready to import into any calendar app.
