Why Track Expiry Dates?

Missing an expiry date can be costly: expired passports can cancel travel plans, lapsed insurance can leave you unprotected, expired licenses can result in fines, and missed warranty deadlines mean paying for repairs out of pocket. This tool helps you centralize all your expiry dates in one place so nothing slips through the cracks.

What Can You Track?

The reminder center supports six categories: Documents (passport, driver license, visa), Warranties (electronics, appliances, vehicles), Subscriptions (streaming, software, gym), Licenses (professional, business, software), Tax deadlines (quarterly estimated, annual filing), and Insurance (health, auto, home, life). Each reminder includes a name, expiry date, notification period, and optional notes.

How Does Privacy Work?

All reminder data is stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. Nothing is uploaded to any server. Your document numbers, renewal URLs, and personal notes stay on your device. You can export all reminders as a .ics calendar file to import into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook — this creates recurring alerts on your devices.

Frequently asked

Is my data uploaded to a server?

No. All reminder data is stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. Nothing is transmitted to any server. Your document details, expiry dates, and notes remain on your device only. If you clear your browser data, your reminders will be lost — export to .ics as a backup.

How do I get notified before something expires?

Export your reminders to a .ics calendar file. Import this file into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook. Each reminder creates an alert at your chosen notification period (1-180 days before expiry). You will receive notifications on all your synced devices.

What happens if I clear my browser data?

Clearing your browser data or site data will delete all stored reminders. We recommend exporting to .ics regularly as a backup. The .ics file contains all your reminder dates and can be re-imported into any calendar app. You can also take screenshots of your reminder list.

Can I use this on multiple devices?

Data is stored per-browser, so reminders created in Chrome on your laptop will not appear in Safari on your phone. To sync across devices, export the .ics file and import it into a shared calendar (Google Calendar, iCloud Calendar) that syncs across all your devices.
