Downscaling discards pixels, so some loss is unavoidable — but this tool keeps it minimal and measurable. It depends on the output format and resize method. For downscaling, the browser's high-quality Lanczos resampling produces excellent results. For upscaling, quality degrades since pixels are interpolated. JPG and PNG outputs are lossless at 100% quality. Use WebP output for 25-35% smaller file sizes at the same visual quality.
