PDF Split is a free browser-based tool that extracts specific pages or page ranges from a PDF document and saves them as separate files. Built on the pdf-lib library running entirely in your browser via WebAssembly, it processes documents locally without any server upload. The tool supports three split modes: extract a custom page range (e.g., pages 5-12), split every N pages into equal chunks, or select individual pages by number. Output files retain the original PDF quality, fonts, and vector graphics with zero recompression.

How to Use PDF Split

Upload your PDF by clicking "Choose File" or dragging it onto the drop zone. The tool displays the total page count. Choose your split mode: enter a page range (e.g., "3-8"), set a chunk size (e.g., "every 5 pages"), or type specific page numbers (e.g., "1, 4, 7, 12"). Click "Split PDF" to process. Each resulting file downloads separately, named with the original filename plus page numbers. For splitting a PDF into individual pages, set the chunk size to 1. All processing happens locally — close the tab and your data is gone.
