Google SERP Preview — See Your Listing Before Google Does
Preview how your page appears in Google results: pixel-accurate title and description truncation, desktop and mobile views, with rewrite suggestions. Free.
You wrote a great title tag — but Google truncates by pixels, not characters, and bold keywords eat the budget. This preview renders your listing the way Google displays it: title cut-off point, description truncation, mobile vs desktop differences, all pixel-accurate.
It scores the listing across a dozen dimensions — title length, keyword placement, description quality — and suggests rewrites when the title is over budget or the description wastes the first line.

Anatomy of a Google search result — illustrated
A Google result is made of three parts: a favicon + hostname row, a blue title, and a URL breadcrumb plus snippet. Google truncates titles at roughly 580px on desktop (485px on mobile) and descriptions at 920px (755px on mobile). Because characters have different widths, this tool measures real pixel width by rendering the text on a hidden canvas in Arial — not by counting characters — then binary-searches for the longest prefix that still fits and appends an ellipsis. The result is an accurate preview of how your page will actually look, plus a 12-dimension score covering title width, word count, freshness, HTTPS, URL structure, keyword consistency, and call-to-action phrasing.
Character counts mislead: wide glyphs hit the pixel limit sooner. The tool measures rendered width, exactly as Google does.
Dana publishes a vegan-recipes blog and wants her new post to rank and earn clicks. She previews the page with this tool before publishing.
- Title:Title "10 Easy Vegan Recipes — 20-Minute Dinners | FreeToolHub" measures about 570px at 20px Arial — just inside the 580px desktop limit, so Google shows it without truncation.
- URL:A clean path /vegan-recipes/ with no query parameters scores full marks on the URL-structure check and keeps the keyword visible in the breadcrumb.
- Description:A 148-character description ending in "Get the free meal plan" passes both the 120–160 character check and the CTA-in-description check.
- Mobile:Switching to mobile view re-measures the title against the 485px limit — it still fits — and the 12-dimension score lands at 84/100.

Frequently asked questions
How long can a Google title tag be?
Roughly 580 pixels — about 55–60 Latin characters depending on letter widths (W and M are wide, i and l are narrow). Titles beyond the pixel budget get ellipsized, which kills clicks. The preview measures actual pixel width rather than counting characters, which is why character-count rules of thumb fail.
Can I control the description Google shows?
Partially: Google rewrites descriptions roughly 60–70% of the time, usually when the meta description doesn't match the query. Write one that directly answers the page's primary query, keep it under ~160 characters, and the preview shows how the truncation lands — then check Search Console to see if Google kept it.
