Images are embedded into the PDF at their original resolution. WebP and other non-PNG/JPEG formats are converted to PNG before embedding. All processing happens in your browser — your images never leave your device.

Cómo funcionaPage 2

How an image becomes a PDF page — illustrated

Each image is embedded as a native PDF object (JPEG stays JPEG, PNG stays PNG; other formats are redrawn to PNG), then centered and scaled to fit the target page while preserving aspect ratio. The order you drag the thumbnails in is the order pages appear in the PDF.

Embed → fit → paginate
PDF PAGEcentered · margin 20px · aspect keptscale= min(page-margin / img)clamped to ≤ 1keeps aspect ratioPage 1 · image APage 2 · image BPage 3 · image Cthumbnail order = page order

'Fit to image' sizes the page to the photo. A4/Letter centers the photo with your margin so it prints consistently. The scale factor never exceeds 1 — small images are never upscaled and blurred.

Three photos into a clean album

Two landscape photos and one portrait, dragged in order.

  1. Drag order matters:Top-left thumbnail becomes page 1 — reorder freely before converting
  2. A4 + landscape:Photos keep full width on a landscape sheet, no rotation artifacts
  3. Margin 20px:Keeps a browser-safe white border on every page
  4. Downstream:Download once, then compress the PDF or unlock it with sibling tools

¿Quién debería usar Imagen a PDF?

Cómo usar Imagen a PDF

Preguntas frecuentes

Which image formats can I convert to PDF?

JPG, PNG, WebP, and BMP — anything your browser can decode. The PDF embeds the original image data, so quality matches the source exactly; there is no re-compression step that would degrade it.

How many images can I put in one PDF?

No hard limit — the constraint is device memory, since processing is local. Hundreds of phone photos work fine on a modern machine; if a 500-image album slows down, split it into chapters and generate in two passes.

How do I combine multiple images into a single PDF?

Add all the images, drag them into page order, pick your page setup, and export — each image becomes one page in the merged PDF. The drag-to-reorder means scans taken out of sequence can be fixed in seconds before committing to the file.

What page size and orientation should I choose?

Fit-to-image keeps each page at the picture's own dimensions — best for photos and archival scans where cropping is unacceptable. A4 or Letter gives you a uniform printable document: choose portrait for text-heavy scans, landscape for wide receipts or screenshots. Margins add whitespace around each image when you want a consistent printable border.

Does converting images to PDF reduce their quality?

At the 'original' quality setting, images are embedded without recompression — the PDF is essentially a container around your untouched files. Lower quality settings re-encode to shrink the file, which is visible mainly in fine text and gradients. For receipts and documents you keep as records, original quality is worth the file size.

Is the conversion done locally in my browser?

Yes — the PDF is assembled entirely on your device and nothing is uploaded. Photos of IDs, medical documents, and private correspondence never touch a server, and the tool works offline once the page has loaded.

Can I set a custom page size for the output PDF?

Yes. Choose from A4, Letter, Legal, or fit-to-image dimensions. Images are centered on the selected page size with optional margins. This is useful for creating print-ready documents from phone photos, scanned receipts, or presentation slides without desktop software.
