The report generator synthesizes several source documents into a single executive report by following a plan-then-write pipeline. First, every document is parsed locally — PDFs through PDF.js, text pasted directly, and tabular data scanned for numbers. The engine then selects a report template (executive, financial, project, market, or SWOT) to plan the section outline. For each planned section it extracts key metrics such as percentages and currency amounts, and either the heuristic rule engine or the local LLM (in AI mode) writes the narrative and recommendations. Finally the report is assembled with its sections, key metrics, and source citations, ready to export as Markdown, HTML, or plain text — with no document content leaving your browser.

If a local model is loaded, the AI drafts each section and you see a live generation timer; if not, instant mode builds the report from the extracted structure immediately, and any AI failure retries the same way automatically. The charts are extracted, not invented. While reading your documents, the generator scans for patterns it can honestly visualize: at least two percentage statements become a pie chart, repeated financial figures become a bar chart, and dated values become a line chart. Nothing is extrapolated or averaged into existence, which is also the honest limitation, since sparse numbers mean fewer charts. The same principle governs the prose. In AI mode a local model summarizes what the sources say, and every report carries a timestamp plus the engine that generated it, so readers know what they are looking at. Treat the recommendations as a first draft for your judgment, and edit before circulating.
